Biological Risk Management

The League City Pets Alive needs volunteers to join the Biological Risk Management (BRM) team. BRM volunteers help control the spread of harmful diseases by working to keep the building clean and disinfected. Duties may include cleaning cat cages or dog kennels, sweeping, washing floors and walls, etc.

Requirements

  • Ages 16 and older
  • Comfortable working around all types of animals
  • Be in good physical condition
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with staff, other volunteers and the public

Commitment

Volunteers must commit to 2 hours per week on a set-schedule for at least 6 months.

Open Shifts

Mondays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 1 to 3 p.m.
  • 3 to 5 p.m.

Tuesdays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 2 to 4 p.m.
  • 4 to 6 p.m.

Wednesdays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 2 to 4 p.m.
  • 4 to 6 p.m.

Thursdays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 2 to 4 p.m.
  • 4 to p.m.

Fridays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 1 to 3 p.m.
  • 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturdays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 1 to 3 p.m.
  • 3 to 5 p.m.

Sundays

  • 8 to 10 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. to Noon
  • 1 to 3 p.m.
  • 3 to 5 p.m.
