Election Notice


A General Election for the City of League City will be held on Nov. 8, 2016 for the purpose of electing Council Members for Positions #3, #4 and #5 for a four-year term each.  A run-off election is set for Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, if necessary.  

Candidates for the General Election set for Nov. 8, 2016 follow; all names are listed in the order that they will be printed on the ballot.

Galveston County

Voter Registration.  The last day to register to 
vote in the General Election is Oct. 11.  Register to vote in Galveston County  at  www.co.galveston.tx.us/tax_offices/voter_registration.htm.  


Ballots by Mail.  Applications for ballot by mail for Galveston County residents may be sent to Dwight D. Sullivan, County Clerk, Galveston County Justice Center, P.O. Box 17253, Galveston, Texas, 77552-7253.  Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2016.

Early Voting.  Early voting hours of operation are: Oct. 24 to 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 30 from 1 to 6 p.m.; Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Locations within League City are as follows:

- CCISD Administration Building, 2425 E. Main St. (FM 518)

- Creekside Intermediate School, 4320 W. Main St.  (FM 518)

- North County Annex, 174 Calder Rd. 

**Residents may also vote at any of the locations listed on Galveston County's website at www.galvestonvotes.org.  


Election Day Voting Locations.
  League City residents may vote on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the following locations: 

- Bay Colony Elementary, 101 Bay Colony Elementary Dr. (FM 646)

- Bauerschlag Elementary, 2051 W. League City Parkway (Hwy 96)

- CCISD Administration Building, 2425 E. Main St. (FM 518)

- Creekside Intermediate School, 4320 W. Main St.  (FM 518)

- Harborview Care Center, 300 Enterprise Ave.

- Hometown Heroes Park, 1001 E. League City Parkway (Hwy 96)

- League City Civic Center, 400 W. Walker St.

- League City Intermediate School, 2588 Webster St.

- League City Fire Station No. 4, 175 W. Bay Area Blvd.

- North County Annex, 174 Calder Rd.


Harris County

Voter Registration.  The last day to register to vote in the General Election is Oct. 11.  Register to vote in Harris County at www.hctax.net/voter/registration.  

Ballots by Mail.
  Applications for ballot by mail for Harris County residents may be sent to Stan Stanart, Harris County Clerk, P.O. Box 1148, Houston, Texas, 77251-1148.  Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. Oct. 28, 2016.

Early Voting.  
Early voting hours of operation are: Oct. 24 to 28 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Oct. 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 30 from 1 to 6 p.m.; Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Locations are as follows:

- Freeman Branch Library, 16616 Diana Lane, Houston, Texas

Election Day Voting Locations.
  League City residents may vote on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Residents residing within Harris County should refer to Harris County's website at www.harrisvotes.com for Election Day voting locations.  The current proposed locations is:

- Greater Life Church, 1655 FM 528 Rd. (West Nasa Blvd.)


Extraterritorial Jurisdiction


League City citizens residing in an extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) are reminded that they vote on a county level.  Check your county's website for additional voting information outside of what is listed above.

 Aug. 22, 2016  Last day for candidate to file for place on ballot - Deadline is 5 p.m.

 Aug. 29, 2016  Last day for candidate to withdraw from race - Deadline is 5 p.m.

Special Election for City of League City
March 19, 2016

Special Election Notice

A Special Election for the City of League City will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 for the purpose of electing a Mayor and a Council Member to Position 2 for an unexpired term ending in November 2018.  A run-off election is set for Saturday, April 23, 2016, if necessary.

Candidates for the Special Election set for March 19, 2016 are as follows:

Galveston County

Voter Registration.  The last day to register to vote in the Special Election is Feb. 18, 2016.  Register to vote in Galveston County at www.co.galveston.tx.us/tax_offices/voter_registration.htm or Harris County at www.hctax.net/voter/registration.


Ballots by Mail.

Early Voting.  League City Civic Center, located at 400 West Walker St. in League City, is the designated early voting location.  Hours of operation are March 2 to 4 and March 7 to 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and March 14 to 15 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  

Election Day Voting Locations.  League City residents may vote on Election Day between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at any of the following locations:
