Sealed bids in duplicate, directed to City of League City, Texas, will be received until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at League City, City Hall, 300 West Walker Street, League City, Texas 77573, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. The Bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work for the construction of the following project:
Clear Creek Village Lift Station Replacement Project Bid #18-005A
The project includes the construction of the new Clear Creek Village Lift Station and abandonment of the existing Clear Creek Village Lift Station for the City of League City. The new Clear Creek Lift Station work includes, but is not limited to, an 8-ft diameter concrete submersible lift station wet well complete with two (2) 470 gpm, 7.5 HP submersible pumps and accessories, riser piping, valves, coatings, force main header, connection to existing 8-inch DIP force main, installation of 15- inch PVC influent sanitary sewer line and connection to the existing sanitary sewer with a new manhole, diversion/bypass pumping, site concrete pavement, fence, diesel emergency generator, odor control unit, electrical duct bank, conduit, wiring, starters, breakers, control panels, and all other associated electrical work; and all else specified and shown on the Construction Documents, complete in place, for a fully functional lift station.

A cashier’s check or Certified Check from a Texas Bank, or acceptable Bid Bond from a reliable surety company authorized to do business in Texas, payable to the City of League City, in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will, within 10 calendar days of Award of Contract, enter into a Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. The Bidder’s deposit shall be forfeited and become the property of the OWNER in the event the Bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract and to furnish bonds acceptable to the OWNER within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Award from the OWNER. The Bid Deposit of all except the three lowest Bidders will be returned within 10 calendar days after the opening of the bids. The Bid Deposit of the three lowest bidders will be returned within 7 working days after the executed contract and required Bonds have been fully approved by the OWNER. The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS on the forms furnished with the PROPOSAL, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The surety company must have a minimum Best Key Rating of “B”, or if the surety company does not have such a rating due to the length of time it has existed, the surety company must be eligible to participate in the surety bond guarantee program of the Small Business Administration and must be an approved surety listed in the current U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570, and must meet all of the related rules and regulations of the Treasury Department. The surety company and the agency or agent issuing the PAYMENT and PERFORMANCE BONDS must be authorized to issue and sign PAYMENT and PERFORMANCE BONDS in Texas in an amount equal to, or greater than, the total Contract price.
