Economic Development CIP Projects

This program provides a CIP category for major projects specifically targeted to support the City’s economic development.  FY2018 consists of funding for design of the Westside Economic Development Initiatives, construction of Park Ave and League Park sections of the Downtown Revitalization Plan and design of the Downtown Revitalization Trails project.  Funding for the construction of phase 2 of the Jag Hollow Extension is programmed in the plan for FY2020.

The construction of the second phase of Jag Hollow Extension and design of the Main Street Economic Development Initiative are included in the five year plan.

Projects In Progress At A Glance

Westside Economic Development Initiatives:
This project is for the design and construction for street and drainage infrastructure on the west side of League City. Project includes the extension of Bay Area Blvd from the American Canal to FM517 and associated drainage, detention bond and bridge.


Downtown Revitalization Project:
The project includes major renovations proposed for Main Street (FY19), Park Street (FY17-18), and League Park (FY18).
Improvements could include: Reconstruction of Park Ave, Water feature in League Park, Landscaping and streetscaping enhancements along Main St including underground utility lines. The plan also includes identifying properties from Iowa to SH3 that can be developed. Improvements will also occur on the intersection of SH 3 and Main Street which will include a visible entrance way into the Downtown.


Downtown Revitalization Trails:
To design and construct trails as a companion project to the Downtown Revitalization project.
