Proclamations are issued by the City Council of League City to recognize exceptional events, groups or people.    The goal of a proclamation is to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary achievements of city residents and non-profit organizations, to honor significant and important occasions within League City, and increase public awareness of issues.

All requests for proclamations must be submitted a minimum of three weeks prior to the date the proclamation is needed.  Proclamation requests must include:

  • Day or week and in some cases the month the proclamation should be issued
  • What is being proclaimed 
  • Brief history of organization, biography of individual, purpose of proclamation, goal of organization or awareness, motto or themes.
