Chien Wei currently serves as the Director of Parks and Cultural Services for the City of League City. Wei joined the League City team in 1993 and became director in January 2006.
Associations
He has continued his success by meeting the requirements of the standards set forth by the National Certification Board of the National Recreation and Park Association as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional since 2002. Chien has been a member of the Texas Recreation and Park Society since 1995 and a member of the National Recreation and Park Association since 1996.
Education
Wei received a Bachelors Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Sciences. He also earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.
Awards
He was the recipient of the Texas Recreation and Park Society's Recreation Professional of the Year Award in 1999.
