Boating Facilities, Sailing, & Cruises

With a total of four marinas, League City’s location on Clear Lake is a haven for boating activities, and is home to over 7,000 recreational boats (the third-largest concentration in the country). Everything from dinner cruises, fishing charters and guides, and diving and boat rentals are available from one of the fifteen marinas presently located around Clear Lake.

Clear Creek Paddle Trail

Grab your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and head over to The Clear Creek Paddle Trail. This trail meanders 6.5 miles through Clear Creek, starting at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside and ending at Heritage Park. Paddlers will enjoy scenic views along their journey, and may spot some of the wildlife that live in and around the creek, including wading birds, alligators, and deer. The City of League City hosts an annual Paddle Race along the trail for paddlers of all skill levels. 


Golf Courses

Beacon Lakes

  • Located 1½ miles east of IH 45 on FM 646
  • 18 hole, 6,700-yard course
  • This is a challenging public course, fully lighted for nighttime play

South Shore Harbour

  • Located within the master planned South Shore Harbour subdivision
  • Private 27-hole championship course

Magnolia Creek Golf Links

  • Located near the intersection of Bay Area Boulevard and FM 518
  • A Scottish-links style private course with 27 holes

Recreational Facilities

League City has an abundance of parks, trails, and recreational facilities. There are over 20 homeowner’s association parks located in subdivisions throughout the community, and more than 620 acres of public parks exist in League City.
