Project Status as of March 2023

G.W. Phillips Concrete Construction, Inc. was awarded the construction contract at the April 12, 2022 City Council meeting. The contractor mobilized to the site at the end of June 2022. Grading work on the ponds at Bay Colony Town Center, Bay Colony Parkside Community, Bay Colony Meadows East Detention Pond and Bay Colony Pointe Subdivision ponds is complete. The contractor is currently completing grading at Lakes of Bay Colony and will be moving to Meadows of Bay Colony. Progress has been slowed due to weather but grading work on the 18 ponds is approximately 80% complete and is anticipated to be completed by May 2023.

Original Schedule

The original schedule, as of September 2019, shows design programmed from quarter 4 of 2019 through quarter 1 of 2020 for Bay Colony Area Detention Improvements. Land acquisition is programmed from quarter 2 of 2020 through quarter 2 of 2021. Construction bidding is scheduled for quarter 3 of 2021 with construction following through quarter 4 of 2022. Construction time is an estimate as each bid is awarded based on cost and time submitted by the contractor.

Current Schedule

The current schedule, as of December 2021, for the Bay Colony Area Detention Improvements project shows design in progress from quarter 4 of 2019 through quarter 3 of 2021. Land acquisition and permitting was programmed from quarter 3 in 2020 through quarter 3 of 2021. Construction bidding is programmed in quarter 4 of 2021 through quarter 1 of 2022. Construction in progress from quarter 2 of 2022 through quarter 2 of 2023. Construction time is an estimate as each bid is awarded based on cost and time submitted by the contractor.
