Seeing a Doctor Through Virtual Visits

Employees Urged To Use Online Virtual Doctor

To help reduce direct contact with others, and to not overwhelm medical facilities, we urge you to use our Blue Cross Blue Shield telemed (online virtual visit) option if you need to see a doctor. If you have not already registered an account with Blue Cross Blue Shield, you will need to do so at the BCBS website, or by downloading the Blue Cross Blue Shield App. Please be patient, as wait times for telemed services may be longer than normal.

Requesting a virtual visit online:

1. Log into your account at the BCBS website  
2. Click on the “Virtual Visit” option on the left-hand menu
3. Click on the “Visit MDLIVE website” button
4. Select who the virtual visit is for (yourself or a dependent)
5. Choose your type of visit
6. For a Medical Visit, Select “See a Doctor Now” or “Schedule a Visit”
7. Provide all the requested information as you continue through the process

Requesting a virtual visit on the mobile app:

1. Log into your account on the Blue Cross Blue Shield app
2. Select “Find Care In-Network”
3. Select “Virtual Visits”
4. Select “See a Provider”
5. Enter your information
6. Select “Continue”
7. Provide all the requested information as you continue through the process
