Bay Area Birding Classes

bay area birding classes

League City is teaming up with the Bay Area Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau to host a series of virtual birding classes. The classes are free and are available to anyone who is interested in learning about birding and where to bird in the Houston Bay area, including League City, which is part of the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. Participants in the course will be poised and ready for the “Bay Area Bit Sit” on Saturday, May 15, which will introduce novice and expert birders to birding hot spots in League City and the surrounding area.

Eight classes, taught by Texas Master Naturalist and Birding for Fun founder Kristine Rivers, will be held on Zoom over a period of eight weeks from March 22 through May 17. Registration is required to secure a spot in one or more of the classes. Once registered, participants will receive a Zoom link the day of each class.

All classes will be held on Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m.
