Scope of Work

Repair drainage conveyances damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Reestablish and stabilize drainage channel slopes along Interurban Ditch from FM 518 (Main St.) north to McKibben Lane.

Project Status

Design and Permitting Phase - The consultant is currently in the process of developing 90% design plans, including the environmental permitting requirements for the Interurban Ditch project. A meeting was held on February 23, 2022, with the consultant, city staff, and representatives with CenterPoint Energy (CNP) to discuss the proposed improvements. During the meeting it was agreed upon by all parties that the City will continue to move forward with the repairs with the recommendation by CNP that no bank improvements would occur within 100 ft. of the electrical tower bases. The consultant expects delivery of 90% design plans in April 2022.
