Circus Arts Camp Ages 4-8 Fee: 88.00 Time: 9 to 11 a.m.
An experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. Any level of physical development & skill is welcome. Your camper will receive circus arts instruction and have the time of their life learning to perform with silks, special hoops and loops, the art of magic, balloon art and get all fancy with clown face painting. It’s the greatest camp on Earth and your child can be part of the fun!
Learning STEAM with Hot Wheels! Ages 4-8 Fee: 88.00 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Endless tracks and obstacle courses await every Hot Wheel’s car lover as they discover the world of math and physical science. What goes up must come down…or does it? Momentum, push, pull, force, and friction are just some of the STEM concepts they will understand. Measuring length and weight in centimeters, inches, feet, and ounces will help in the identification of the fastest, most efficient car on the block. Mega Loop Mayhem, Shark Cliff Hanger, Wolf Mountain, and hundreds of cars are just some of the play equipment that will have you yearning to come each day! Your child will not only have a solid background in science and math concepts, but will have also rolled away in good times with Hot Wheels!

Whether your child struggles in writing or loves it, they will enjoy this class! This class is about turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. This class is designed for all levels of writing whether they just learning how to make a sentence or write a short story. The scaffold instruction will make writing fun and allow students to show unique expression through their writing. Writing with voice in all genres from descriptive, narrative, and informational. Not laborious as some writing instruction can be. . By practicing creative writing schematics and innovative art challenges, your child will learn to reach their inner ability to express what they are feeling. You might need to buy some frames to showcase the author’s work!
SUPER HEROES- Cartooning and Writing Ages 8-12 Fee: 88.00 Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird, a plane, NO! It is the newest super Hero! Did you know Stan Lee was a teenager when he created Spiderman? Learn to develop characters, story lines and the basics of cartooning. Tell your own story! This class is about turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Designed for all levels of writing from creating a sentence to writing a short story. The scaffold instruction will make writing fun and not laborious. By weeks end, you will complete comic strips and short stories featuring your original characters and show casing all of his/her distinct and individual expressions.

Fashion Designer- Talented Expressions Ages 8-12 Fee: 88.00 Time: 9 to 11 a.m.
Design principles in the areas of sketching, color & pattern coordination, costume design and fashion history will be applied to their personal style and portfolio. Designs come to life with beautifully patterned papers, yards and yards of ribbons, colorful sequins, glitzy jewels, glamorous feathers and oodles of other embellishments. Girls will be grouped into “Design Teams” for a variety of fun, engaging activities such as White Wedding, Fashion Show-down. Make new friends and build on your talented expression with personalized fashion.
Camp Barbie Ages 4-8 Fee: 88.00 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
At Camp Barbie you will have loads of fun helping Barbie learn the many things she needs to know to become a great girl. You and Barbie will have a great time learning to dress for the occasion, practicing good manners, making new friends, importance of school work, how to use money, dreaming of careers, attending social functions, hearing great stories, practicing talents, cooking tips, art, and much more! Non-stop activities and fun learning adventures are all geared toward self-esteem development. Survival Tactics Ages 7-12 Fee: 88.00 Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
Wrapped in games and adventure, unique challenges await you. During survival situations, the four basic needs become shelter, water, fire, and food. By introducing basic techniques, your child will learn how to purify water, signal for help, leave no trace camping, signal for help, first aid, search for edible food, set chants, and more! Come and let a certified teacher of the state of Texas show you what you don’t know about Lego kits you have never seen and what they can do. Be ready for an all-day adventure of problem solving using and developing real life engineering skills. The total hand on experience all Lego Builders will enjoy!
Lego Logo Ages 8-12 Fee: 88.00 Time: 9 to 11 a.m.
Bring young technicians into a creative, engineering environment. Not found in stores, the special Lego Logo kits provide extraordinary opportunities for the hands-on construction. Under the guidance of a Texas certified educator, along with detailed technical plans to follow, the participant will build robots, traffic lights, race cars, four-by-four trucks, cranes, pulleys, levers, and more during this energized week of discovery with Lego! Motivated by fun, creativity, and success, young builders will expand their knowledge of math, science, and STEM technology in an exploratory hands-on cooperative environment.
Lego Mania Ages 4-7 Fee: 88.00 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
No builder can say “Lego my Lego!” when engaged in the creative activities of LEGO MANIA! This innovative program for Lego buffs provides opportunities for imagination and hands-on learning under the guidance of a certified Texas educator. Over 15 new games, STEM kits, projects and activities not found in stores will be planned and manipulated. Enrichment in the areas of personal creativity, following instructions, eye-hand coordination, problem solving, critical thinking and learning will be experienced as the child has the opportunity to construct dinosaurs, rockets, castles, airplanes, forts, cars, and more!
Drones and Lego Workshop Ages 8-12 Fee: 88.00 Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
So you say you have done it all with Lego? Learn to fly one our Drones! Merging the best advanced science and STEM technology projects with the wonder of flight. A hands-on learning approach providing innovation and adventure. A certified instructor will facilitate, but students and flight squads will create compete and expand their creativity skills. This class will surely inspire all Lego enthusiasts. Exercise your Lego skills in ways you haven’t done before! No drone needed.
Registration Information
Registration for our programs can be done online or in person at Hometown Heroes Park. To register online, an account is needed. To create an account please come to Hometown Heroes Park. If you are a League City resident you will need a valid ID and current water bill. If you are a non-resident, you will need a valid ID. If you have any questions, call 281-554-1180.
Creating an Account (Household)
Household accounts can now be created online. To create an account, visit: Online Parks and Rec Registration and click on new account and fill in the required fields. Please make sure to add everyone living in your household, including children. After setting up your household account, League City residents must email a copy of their water bill to Parks to verify residency and have their account approved. Households must be approved before any registration can occur. Accounts can take up to 72 hours to be approved.
Accounts can also be created in person at Hometown Heroes Park. League City residents will need to bring in a valid ID and their League City water bill. Non-residents will need to bring in a valid ID.
