Every year, 12 million people across the country become victims of physical domestic violence. Help League City Police Department raise domestic violence awareness by attending a candlelight vigil to honor victims in the community at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 24. The event is open to the public and will be held in front of the League City Public Safety Building at 555 West Walker Street. Local resources will also be available for residents to ask questions.
Donations of personal hygiene products will be accepted at this event for the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County. For more information, contact League City Police Department Crime Victims Advocate, Stephanie Jones, at 281-338-4172.
