League City employees over the last year have worked diligently to ensure residents receive the world class customer service they are accustomed to, despite being in the middle of a pandemic. It has taken creativity, perseverance, and determination to not only maintain day-to-day City operations, but to make continual progress on projects and initiatives in the midst of COVID-19.
Adjusting to the “new normal” has required many departments to pivot and adjust the way they deliver service to our residents. The problem-solving and out-of-box thinking League City directors, managers, and individual employees have initiated is truly astounding, and while everyone deserves to be commended, a few select individuals and departments are being recognized as part of the City’s annual year-end awards.
The winners this year are:
Service Award: EMS
Impact Award: Helen Hall Library and Park Operations
Leadership Award: Greg Kunkel
