Get rid of unwanted documents!
AMOCO Federal Credit Union and Iron Mountain are teaming up to offer free, secure, confidential shredding for League City residents on Saturday, August 7 at Hometown Heroes Park. You can bring up to three file boxes of personal identifying documents such as financial statements, receipts, or old bills.
When you arrive to the event, just remain in your vehicle and have your shred items ready in your trunk or the back seat.

Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (or until the truck has reached max capacity)

Accepted items for shredding:
- Bond, computer and copying paper
- Adding machine tape
- Envelope (with or without windows)
- File folders
- Accounting ledgers and letterhead faxes
- NCR or coated paper and self-adhesive notes
Paper clips, rubber bands, staples, tape, adhesive labels, fasteners, and plastic tabs do not have to be removed.
What CANNOT be shredded?
- Cellophane wrappers
- Paper towels/napkin
- Food of any kind
- Phone books
- Styrofoam cups/plates
- Lunch bags
- Aluminum cans, foil and metal ring binders
If you are looking for a way to give back in the community, Communities In Schools – Bay Area will be in attendance collecting traditional school items (pencils, spirals, highlighters, etc.). Communities In Schools – Bay Area works inside school systems with superintendents, principals, educators, and other personnel to build community partnerships that bring resources into schools and help remove barriers to learning. They surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
