Tropical Storm Nicholas has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and forecasts indicate it is headed to Texas. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect from Port Aransas to High Island, which includes League City. A Storm Surge Watch is in effect from the Mouth of the Rio Grande to High Island. Landfall is expected late Monday to early Tuesday with a very slow motion across SE Texas through the end of the week. Rainfall amounts over the next three days are estimated to be around 5 to 10 inches, though isolated amounts of 15 inches or higher are possible.
