A decision will be made Monday afternoon regarding Tuesday service. Please bring your trash cans and bins inside once trash is picked up as they can block storm water drains.

CITY FACILITIES ARE CURRENTLY OPEN. A decision regarding afternoon programming at the Helen Hall Library and the Hometown Heroes Recreation Center will be made late Monday 9/13.

10AM UPDATE 9/13
Tropical Storm Nicholas continues to heads towards our region and could reach a Category 1 hurricane before landfall late Monday evening/early Tuesday morning near Matagorda Bay. If not, it will be a high-end tropical storm. Tropical storm force winds will likely arrive in the Galveston Bay area overnight around 2 a.m. and extend northeast Tuesday morning. Storm surge, high winds and tornadoes are also possible on Tuesday. A Hurricane Watch is in effect north to San Luis pass.

The primary threats for League City are heavy rainfall, flash flooding, localized street flooding, and possible power outages. The National Weather Service has advised that 15 to 20 inches of rainfall over the next few days is possible. Conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the day Monday with the heaviest rainfall occurring tonight through Wednesday.
