Registration is underway for League City Citizen University, a free program designed to familiarize citizens with the purpose, process, and structure of the city’s government.
Citizen University is held two times a year, over an 11-week period, every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Each session includes dinner, and an interactive presentation from staff on various city services and issues.
Registration is currently underway for the next session which begins January 27 and runs until April 7. Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis for any League City resident or business owners who is 18 years of age or older and does not currently holding a position as an elected official or running for office. A background check will be required for admission to the program since the course will include a tour of the Public Safety Building. Class size is limited to approximately 20.
