League City’s Park Operations Department has been hard at work over the past two weeks working with the City’s Streets Department to hang holiday wreaths on light poles across the City. Assisted by members of the League City Garden Club, holiday decorations and lights have been strung at Helen’s Garden and along the gazebo at League Park. In addition, staff from the communications, library, parks, and volunteer fire departments have attached nearly 1,000 ornaments on the new 10 foot section of the City’s holiday tree located at League Park.
The City’s official tree lighting will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 27 and will feature music by the League City Concert Band, a performance by the Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre, and complimentary hot chocolate, cookies, and the League City 2021 commemorative ornament (while supplies last).
In addition to the tree lighting, the day will include an outdoor holiday market with over 60 vendors, food trucks, a nutcracker scavenger hunt, kids' activities and much more in the City's Historic District. For more information, visit https://www.leaguecitycvb.com/nutcrackerpark.
