[ARCHIVED] Community Surveys

We need your input! The City of League City has created two public surveys relating to the Community Development Block Grant program and fair housing in League City.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As an eligible community, as defined by HUD, the City of League City receives funds annually to carry out CDBG eligible activities. The city directs these funds for various service projects designed to meet the needs of low to moderate-income persons. This Community Survey forms the basis for our 2022-2026 Consolidated Plan.  The Consolidated Plan is a road map for the use of League City's U.S. Department of HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding through 2026.  This 5-Year Plan focuses on serving lower-income residents and neighborhoods within the city limits of League City.

We want to hear from as many residents, business owners, service agencies, foundations, banks, and other stakeholders as possible about your perceptions of the City's needs, goals, strategies and resources for the use of CDBG funds.

Community Survey for CDBG Funding

Fair Housing Plan Survey

The Federal laws are in place to protect individuals and families from housing discrimination based on their gender, gender identity/sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, disability, or familial status (includes households with children or pregnant women). Insufficient income, low credit score, past foreclosures, or evictions are legitimate reasons for denying housing and are not considered discriminatory.  However, legitimate reasons may not be consistently enforced in all cases and could be a smokescreen for discrimination.    We want to hear from you about your experiences in trying to find the housing of your choice in League City.
Please complete this survey if you live in or tried to secure housing in the City of League City.  This will help us assess equality throughout the city.  We can’t improve situations if we do not know about them!
