Remembering a Dedicated Volunteer

League City Police Department staff and members of the Volunteers in Policing (VIP) program are mourning the loss of Silvio Vincenzo, a longtime member of VIPS and a huge
supporter of the “Bigs in Blue” program with Gulf Coast Big Brothers  and Sisters prgoram , which partners adult mentors with at-risk children at local elementary schools. Vincenzo
passed away this week.
“Silvio had a big heart and was always willing to jump in and not only assist our officers, but the entire League City community,” said LCPD Sergeant Chris Skendizel and President of the League City Police Officers Association. “His did great things with our Bigs in Blue program and personally took care of at least four children at Clear Creek ISD schools. He will be greatly missed.”
In 2019, Silvio was presented with League City’s Inspiration Award, which honors a community member who goes above and beyond to serve others. LCPD and the entire League City staff offer their heart felt condolences to his family and to those he touched with his huge heart.
