Our Feline Foster Program is in need of new foster parents! We received an incredible amount of kittens (more than ONE HUNDRED in the last four weeks alone!) that are too small for our adoption program. Between quickly filling existing foster homes with this huge & sudden influx of babies and it being the time of year that many are busy and unable to help, we are in great need of additional foster homes to supplement our current needs! (Today, March 12, we have TWENTY THREE kittens waiting at the shelter for a foster to help them!) Needs vary from bottle babies that need round-the-clock care to older kittens who just need feeding twice a day and some spare cuddles all the way up to moms w/ litters who literally do all the work & you just have to provide them with a small space to hang out in!
We often hear that people are afraid to foster because they will want to adopt - but remember: Goodbye is the goal! It's better to save a kitten's life and then watch it be adopted to live an wonderful life with it's new family than for it to never have that chance at all, right? Plus our foster program includes supplies, support, regular check-ins, and an afterhours emergency line, so you won't be alone! We're with you every step of the way!
