LCPD Teen Academy students watching truck

High school students are invited to join the men and women of the League City Police Department to explore a career in law enforcement. Students will experience a “behind the badge” view of core police functions and what it takes to become a police officer. The Teen Academy consists of a series of classes and hands-on activities designed to give the cadets a working knowledge of our police department.

The Teen Academy is open to high school teens who reside or attend a League City public or private school. This includes students of all public, private and homeschool students in League City. The academy is free of charge and space is limited. The event will be held from Monday, July 25th to Friday, July 29th from 8AM to 4PM.

Cadets will learn about:

• Patrol Procedures
• Crime Scene Investigation
• Criminal Law
• Firearms Safety
• Traffic Stops
• Positive Team Building Activities and More

Applications can be obtained at the League City Public Safety Building, 555 W Walker St, front lobby desk or records window or downloaded here.

The application deadline is Friday, July 5th.
