League City has officially opened its new obstacle course and 5K running trail at Hometown Heroes Park to the public. The course has 12 different obstacles to conquer and three challenge levels for a range of agilities and ages. It is located near the easternmost parking lot within Hometown Heroes Park, providing easy access for users who want to use it.
Next to the obstacle course, you'll find the new running/walking trail, which loops around Hometown Heroes Park. The trail is open everyday from sunrise to sunset, and solar powered light bollards are found along some sections. Two times around the course equals 3.1 miles or 5 kilometers.
Both amenities were officially unveiled during a ribbon cutting ceremony at the City's 5K Fun Run on Sunday, May 29. Check out pictures from the event here.
