A man and two women are talking and the text says Join Our Team

Want to be more involved in the City but running for City Council isn't the right step for you?

That's ok, because there are many ways residents can get involved and help shape the future of League City. Serving on a board, commission, or committee allows residents to choose areas of personal interest and/or professional expertise and convene with staff on issues that matter.

The City has 18 different groups made up of citizens who volunteer their time and expertise for the benefit of the community by setting policy, aiding fellow citizens, providing input, improving services, and planning for League City’s future. Residents are appointed to these positions by City Council.

Groups with vacancies

  • The Historic Commission
  • League City Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Board
  • League City Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
  • Planning and Zoning Commission
