2022 Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest Winners

This year, three schools participated in the 2nd Annual Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest. The schools that participated were League City Elementary School, St. Mary’s Catholic School, and Gilmore Elementary. For each grade, the principal or their designee was to select the top three posters to be submitted for the poster contest. These posters were then put on display at the Helen Hall Library and during this time, John Baumgartner, Bo Bass, Carlene Neeley, and John Bowen were the four judges from city administration to select the top three posters for each division. In conjunction with this, the library also allowed the public to vote for their favorite for the Helen Hall Library Choice Award. Listed below are the winners for each division:
Kindergarten Division (Pre-K & K)
1st Place: Dru Lopez
Primary Division (1st and 2nd Grade)
1st Place: Grace McDonald
2nd Place: Camille Osterberger
3rd Place: Calla Springrose
Intermediate Division (3rd and 4th Grade)
1st Place: Monique Mendoza
2nd Place: Arianna Hernandez
3rd Place: Gabby Christensen
Middle Division (5th and 6th Grade)
1st Place: Faith McDonald
2nd Place: Jovanni Brignac
3rd Place: Elizabeth Retif
Junior High Division (7th and 8th Grade)
1st Place: Jenny Chen
2nd Place: Kevin Work
3rd Place: Lily Redmond
