Rain Barrels on Sale Now
League City residents can buy a 50-gallon capacity rain barrel at a discount now until Friday, May 26 at 11 p.m. as part of the City's Rain Barrel Program. The barrels are used for harvesting rain water, which can be then be used to irrigate gardens and landscapes. The City of League City offers a $25 water utility credit for up to two rain barrel installations per household per year. The utility credit is only available to residential customers; commercial water customers are not eligible for this credit.
Rain Barrel Program Details
- Rain barrels are available for purchase directly through the program’s website here.
- Purchases may be made by credit or debit card.
- Normal retail purchase for rain barrels is $193.99, but the City is offering a special promotion of $77 per barrel.
- The City has a limited number of rain barrels available for the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to pre-order their rain barrels since supplies are limited.
- The rain barrels will be available for pick-up on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9 a.m. to noon at the League City Public Works Operation Center, 1701 West League City Pkwy.
