Upcoming Events

Walk for Wellness

The Walk for Wellness is hosted by the Friends of League City Seniors Foundation with all proceeds benefiting the League City Seniors Program. All participants must be registered. Adults accompanying children on the race course must also be registered. Race is closed to bikes, skateboards & roller blades. Registration can be done in person at Hometown Heroes Park (cash or check only) or register online.

Date: March 25
Time: 7:30 a.m.
Registration Fee: $30  ($35 day of event)
Location: Walter Hall Park

Bunny Fun Run

Hop past the finish line! Join us April 2 for our first Bunny Fun Run. We will have a 1 mile and 5k option. The 1 mile will start at 9 a.m. with the 5k following at 9:30 a.m. Both races are $30.  After the run spend time looking through the vendors and grab a bite to eat with the food trucks! Registration can be done online.

Birds, Bats & Beyond!

Join Kristine Rivers of Birding for Fun in this interactive series about Texas wildlife, with fun facts, photos, puzzles, arts and crafts, and other activities. We’ll study a different animal each week! classes will take place at the Community Center.

Class Dates: Tuesdays, March 21 - April 11
Class Time: 11 am to Noon
Ages: 8 to 14
Cost: $40

Spring Birding Adventures

Join Kristine Rivers of Birding for Fun on a series of guided birding walks at local birding hot spots in search of beautiful spring migrants. Possible species include Indigo Bunting, Summer Tanager, Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, Orchard Oriole, Red-eyed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Black-throated Green Warbler, Black-and-White Warbler, Northern Parula, and many more! We’ll meet on-site at a different field trip location each week; full schedule with locations will be announced prior to the beginning of the session. Hiking distance will vary up to 2 miles, done at a relaxed pace. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots and dress appropriately for changing weather conditions. Binoculars are recommended; loaner binoculars are available.

Class Dates: Tuesdays, March 21 - April 11
Class Time: 10 to 10:45
Ages: 14 and older
Cost: $100

DIY Shower Steamers

Join us for a fun filled DIY workshop where students will learn the uses and benefits of aromatherapy. Students will DIY their own custom shower steamers. This class will be held at the Community Center.

Class Date: March 25
Time: 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Ages: 8 and older

Homeschool Fencing Class

Join us for the our next session of Homeschool PE- Fencing and learn techniques of the sword in a fun and safe environment. Class will be held at the Community Center.

Class Dates: March 20 to May 8 (Mondays)
Time: 12 to 1:30 p.m.
Ages: 8 to 16 years
Cost: $75
