Take Home a FREE Tree at EcoFest on September 16

Our annual EcoFest and Arbor Day celebration is THIS Saturday at Hometown Heroes Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.! In addition to lots of activities—including exhibits, vendors, crafts, a native plant sale, yard sale, classes, chalk artists, and more—there will be a free tree giveaway. This is on a first-come, first-served basis and will last until all the trees are gone.

Free Trees

7-gallon container trees provided by Texas-New Mexico Power

  • Red Maple (big shade tree)
  • Bur Oak (big shade tree)
  • Chinese Fringe (safe to plant beneath power line)
  • Little Gem Magnolia (safe to plant beneath power line)

2- to 4-foot trees donated by Trees for Houston

  • Eastern Redbud
  • Texas Red Oak
  • Mexican Red Oak
  • Sawtooth Oak

Win Prizes by Playing Go Green Bingo

Win prizes at EcoFest by playing GO GREEN BINGO. Start playing today by printing your BINGO card at home (print your card here) or by picking up a card at Helen Hall Library, Hometown Heroes Park, City Hall, the Municipal Courts building, or the Community Center.

Playing GO GREEN BINGO is easy. Simply complete eco-friendly activities like recycling at home, reducing food waste, cutting down on water usage, and more. Then turn in your completed BINGO card at EcoFest to be entered to win one of two grand prizes. Everyone who plays GO GREEN BINGO will receive a League City eco-friendly prize when they turn in their card at the event.
