Upcoming Events

Community Health Fair

Be pro-active about your health and stop by Hometown Heroes Park between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Saturday, September 9 for our annual Community Health Fair. This free event is a great way to meet healthcare providers in our community, especially if you’re a new resident or looking to switch providers. Along with flu shots (primary insurance card required), there will be Health & Wellness vendors on site and opportunities for health screenings. There will also be exercise demonstrations and activities for kids.

Nature with Kristine

Nature with Kristine is back this Saturday! In the morning from 9 to 11 a.m. we will meet at Rustic Oaks Park for Signs of Fall Scavenger Hunt and in the afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. we will meet at Ghirardi Family WaterSmart Park for Minibeast Spotting.

Community Yard Sale

This year the Community Yard Sale will be held at Hometown Heroes Park in conjunction with the EcoFest on September 23. The Community Yard Sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Turn your trash into someone else’s treasure! This is a great chance to clean out your homes and meet your League City neighbors while promoting responsible and sustainable practices for our environment. Booth space is $25 for residents and $37.50 for non-residents. Register in person or by visiting our online registration site.

Winning the Job Search

Get your dream job! This workshop takes a deep dive into the job search process from start to finish. Learn the most effective resume writing techniques, interview skills and salary neogtiation strategies to set you up for success. Sign up for a 1 hour, one-on-one session. Sessions will be offered between 12 and 4 p.m.

Come learn these skills and more! Join us for our upcoming Winning the Job Search workshop on September 16 at the Community Center. Registration is $35 per person and class is open to everyone 15 and older. This workshop will be taught by Rebecca Damas. 

Self Defense Class

Join us September 16 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for our Self Defense Class. This class is open to ages 13 and older and cost $15 per person. The class will meet at the Community Center.

Power Yoga

Looking for a way to break up your work week? Try our Power Yoga classes at the Community Center. The next session of Power Yoga will be starting next Wednesday, September 13 - October 18. The registration fee is $60 and is open to ages 18 and older.
