Great League City Holiday Light Fight
Deadline to enter is Monday, December 11
Do you go all-out to decorate your home for the holidays? Is Clark Griswold your personal hero? Do you have a clever holiday display you think the community would love to see? Now is your chance to claim your rightful place as Champion of the Lights and win a Major Award! Enter your home into the Great League City Holiday Light Fight and League City residents will decide who deserves the coveted Leg Lamp trophy. Learn more about the contest, and how to enter, here.

This interactive map includes light displays from the City of League City, lights in the Historic District, and all the homes entered into the Great League City Light Fight. Put on some Christmas music, open the map, and enjoy a drive around town looking at all the festive, creative light displays. Feel free to submit your home to the map and spread some holiday cheer! Holiday Open House
November 30 | 5 – 7:30 P.M.
Helen Hall Library
Join Helen Hall Library for their 30th annual Holiday Open House. Enjoy cookies, cocoa, crafts, face painting, and pictures with Santa! Starting at 5 p.m. there will be storytime with Santa at the Civic Center, and then Santa will lead guests in a parade over to the library to enjoy the rest of the activities. Light up the Library happens at the close of the event, at 7:30 p.m.
Holiday in the Park
December 1 – 3
League Park, 512 2nd Street
Come out and celebrate the 26th year of Holiday in the Park with Magic on Main Street—a weekend of festive family fun in beautiful League Park. Enjoy a children’s parade, the Grand Night Parade (the theme this year is “Cousin Eddie’s Christmas Vacation”), live music, shopping, food vendors, entertainment, and more during this annual League City tradition. Holiday in the Park is a family-friendly holiday event put on every year by the League City Proud Organization on the first weekend in December. Learn more and see the event schedule here.

BAHBT Nutcracker Ballet
December 1–3, 8–10, 15–17
Bayou Theatre at Univ. Houston–Clear Lake
Attend a mesmerizing performance of the holiday favorite, The Nutcracker, presented by Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre. Evening and matinee performances will be held each weekend. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
Old League City Christmas
December 9 & 10 | 10 A.M. – 3 P.M.
League City Historical Society, 210 N. Kansas Ave.
Go back in time with the League City Historical Society and experience Christmas like they did 100+ years ago. See the Airing of the Quilts, enjoy "porch parties," watch historic demos (like rope-making), check out vintage vehicles, and more. Get more details about this event here.
League City Dog Park Association Holiday Market

League Park, 512 2nd Street
Stop by League Park for food trucks and shopping under the oaks. Proceeds from the market go to the League City Dog Park Association to improve the City's two Bark Parks.
Fire Station 4 Photos with Santa
December 9 | 6 P.M. – 8 P.M.
Fire Station 4, 175 W Bay Area Blvd.
Put on your favorite Christmas attire and get a FREE photo with Santa at the Fire Station. You can use your own phone/camera for the picture, or a Fire Station crew member can take one and email it to you.
Clear Lake Christmas Boat Lane Parade
December 9 | 6 P.M.
From Clear Lake to Galveston Bay
A Clear Lake tradition for 60+ years, this lighted boat parade travels from Clear Lake to Galveston Bay. Boaters go all out to compete for prizes, so you can expect an extravagant show. Learn more about the event here.
