Special Election January 13, 2024
League City will conduct a Special Election to fill the vacancy for City Council Position No. 4 (unexpired term). The Special Election will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Please note that Position 4 expires in November of 2024. Get more details at leaguecity.com/elections.
The candidate filing period is from 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15 to 5 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023. If you are interested in filing for City Council Position No. 4, please download and fill out the Candidate Packet linked below.

Candidate Requirements
To serve on City Council, you must be:
- A citizen of the United States
- A resident of League City for one year preceding the election
- At least 21 years of age
Voting
In-person early voting begins at 8 a.m. on December 27 and ends at 5 p.m. on January 9. Election Day is Saturday, January 13. Residents have through December 12 to register to vote on the January 13 election day. Residents can register to vote at the Helen Hall Library.

League City’s next City Council election will be in November 2024 for Position 3 currently held by Tom Crews, Position 4, and Position 5 currently held by Justin Hicks.
