DROP OFF A NEW UNWRAPPED TOY AT CITY FACILITIES
League City is hosting a Community Toy Drive for Interfaith Caring Ministries until Thursday, December 7 at 5 p.m.
Collection boxes are located at the Helen Hall Library, Hometown Heroes Recreation Center, City Hall, City Hall Annex, Municipal Courts Building, and the Civic Center for citizens to drop off new and unwrapped toys during normal business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
Collection boxes will also be at the holiday tree lighting at League Park on November 25 and at the City’s tent at League Park during Holiday in the Park on December 1, 2, and 3.
Interfaith Caring Ministries is a local non-profit based in League City that serves struggling families in our community and across Galveston County. Every year, they create a “toy store” in the third week of December so their clients can have the experience of “shopping” for presents for their children. It allows parents a chance to maintain a sense of dignity, wrap the gifts themselves, and experience the joy of their child opening up a present they truly wanted, needed, or asked for from Santa.
