Looking for an adventure in League City? Then look no further than the League City Visitor’s Center where you can pick up “Milby”—a cute little longhorn that’s happy to serve as your tour guide and show you our City’s rich history and abundant natural beauty.
Milby is a stuffed animal that can be purchased for a nominal fee at the Visitor’s Center located at League Park inside the Soul Freak Railroad Café. Milby comes with a card that contains a certificate of ownership as well as an itinerary that highlights many interesting, visual, and historic places around League City.
Some of the sights include Helen’s Garden, Founders Square, and The One Room Schoolhouse. As you visit each sight, take a picture with Milby, and email the photos to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a special surprise!
Milby’s namesake is Milby Butler, who comes from one of the founding families of League City. In the early 1900s, Milby Butler helped prevent the extinction of the Texas Longhorn through selective breeding. There’s even a breed of Texas Longhorns named after him.
